Before our entry to Vrontados, there are the remains of the royal church of Saint
Isidoros.
The Saint came from Alexandria and was a martyr in Chios (250 A.D.).
He considers to be a patron saint of the island and there are many churches with his name, to honor him.
The church was built at 5th century, but since then it has been reconstructed many times.
In the church were kept the relics of Saint Isidoros and Saint
Miropi, later stolen by Venetians.
