There are no records saved, because of the great historical events, which took place the previous years and because of the disastrous earthquakes. 

Before the big earthquake of 22 March 1881 the Primary School of Saint Mark in Vrontados, keeping up on church's care, operated in privately owned houses, which used to be called 'Schools', each of them. 

In 1891 was established the 3rd Primary School of Vrontados (Saint Mark's), in which only boys studied. 

Until 1917, time the mixed schooling started, the church's two floored cell was used as School, only for girls. 

Both of the Schools establisher and donator was the church of Saint Mark. 

In the old days schools were not enjoy great prosperity, because many people, the old time, became seamen instead of study. 

The school started to operate as a public one at 1912, directly after Chios liberation. 

The Schools operated sometimes with 2 classes sometimes with 3. 

Mixed schooling of both boys and girls, in the same building, which was increased with two more teaching rooms, happened in the 5th and 6th class of the school since 1917, but since 1928 this principle was put into practice for all the classes. 

So there was the 3rd Primary School (Saint Mark's) in Vrontado, which operated sometime with 4 classes and sometimes with 3.

The new School building was established in 1960 with expenses and by the management of the two brothers Christoforou and Panteli Margaroni. 

In 1984, when Mark Mennis was Mayor of Vrontados, the Municipality with him at the head bought the ground, which was near the School, to make a sports field for basket and volley. 

Also the old water -closets were pulled down and there were built new ones, to the south side of the school. 

Inside there was also the boiler and the petroleum's reservoir for the central heating. 

Also there were put goals in the football field and dressed with a wire - netting the basketball field from the south side. 

More over, the School was paint in oils inside out, placed windows, made from aluminum and bought new electric bell. 

Finally, they bought a new copying machine so important tool for the 6th more classed School. 

In 1984 also started the repair of the old 3rd Primary School of Vrontados. 

After many unwise steps of the municipal authority for the use of the old school (hospice, wholesale store etc.), finally they decided, under many interferences of the board of governors, to repair the school building and give it back to School. 

So the School was ready in 1997, after a long period of no working.

Particularly in 22 of September 1997 was the inauguration of the School. 

This was arranged as 3rd Kindergarten of Vrontados and one big room, as a celebration room for all the school shows. 

The down floor would be used as a close gymnasium, either as school store. 

Already in this floor is situated the Greek Dance Association " Momogeroi ".
